Fighting Information Pollution with Decision Support Systems

ABSTRACT: Information pollution is characterized as a major problem in modern organizations and in society at large. Decision support systems are proposed as the primary tool to combat information pollution. An ideal decision support system is characterized; its potential is demonstrated through examples; and a design architecture to achieve its maximum potential is proposed.
