The Implications of Declining Enrollments in Undergraduate CIS Programs in the United States

ABSTRACT: A shortage of qualified entry-level computer information systems (CIS) personnel is beginning to occur as a result of the recent decline in student interest in computer-related careers. This paper discusses the impending shortage, its implications, and actions that can be taken to reverse this development.
